Lion’s Mane, aka the “hedgehog mushroom,” is a medicinal fungi long used for its health optimizing qualities. While Lion’s Mane has the same immune supporting beta-glucans as other mushrooms, it also contains hericenones and erinacines that support and protect the nervous system. Research has shown hericenones to be extremely effective at stimulating the brain’s Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) and erinacines easily cross the blood-brain barrier to boost the production of neurons.
